친구란?(What's the friend?)

 

친구란?

 

 

고독한 부엉이는 외로운 것들에 마음이 스칠 때마다 눈물을 뚝뚝 흘린다.

앤이라면 이 외롭고 쓸쓸한 친구에게 이렇게 말하지 않았을까 상상한다.

“친구야, 널 위해 흘린 내 눈물로 만든 눈물차야. 아직 따뜻할 거야.”인디언 말로 친구란 ‘내 슬픔을 자기 등에 지고 가는 사람’이란 뜻이다.

어려움에 빠지고 나서야 우리는 누가 나에게 튼튼한 밧줄을 던져주는 친구였는지 알 수 있다.

The solitary owl sheds tears whenever its mind is touched by the lonely things.

I imagine Anne would have said this to this lonely and lonely friend.

"Mate, it's a tear tea made of my tears that I shed for you. It'll still be warm." Friend means, in Indian words, "

The one who carries my sorrow on his back."

It's only when we're in trouble that we know who was the friend who threw me a strong rope.
