새벽

 

 

새벽 3시.

그는 침대에서 일어났다.

아내처럼 그도 맨발로 방을 나섰다.

불을 켜지 않고 벽을 더듬어가며 2층 계단참까지 움직였다.

계단참에서 내려다본 집안은 한 덩어리의 거대한 어둠이었다.

가로등 빛마저 스미지 않는 걸 보면, 커튼이란 커튼은 모두 닫아버린 듯했다.

베란다 유리문, 뒷문, 부엌 창까지.

It is 3 am.

He got out of bed.

Like his wife, he left the room barefoot.

Without turning on the light, he followed the wall and moved to the second stair landing.

The house looked down from the stair landing it was a huge mass of darkness.

And if the streetlight don't even shine, it seemed that all the curtains were closed.

To the veranda glass door, the back door, and the kitchen window.
