그녀는 질끈 눈을 감았다.

진짜가 아니야.

환영이야.

기억 속에서 기어나온 망령이라고.

그러니 눈을 번쩍 뜨고 할 일을 해.

눈을 떴을 때, 창턱에는 아무것도 없었다.

흰 레이스 커튼 위에서 노랑나비들만 날고 있을 뿐.

그녀는 뒷걸음질로 방을 나갔다.

Only yellow butterflies are flying on a white lace curtain.

She stepped back out of the room.
